Honda announced this weekend, a new factory in Mexico, employing 3200 people to build. The new facility will be more economical sub-compact vehicles for the Mexican market, the U.S. and Canada. Toyota Motors Co. for the first time will build an electric vehicle plant outside Japan.
Reuters news agency quoted a press statement stating that the Canadian government will stand the plant in Woodstock Ontario. Electric vehicles to be made is the RAV 4 SUV. Toyota’s investment value of approximately 558 million U.S. dollars. RAV 4 is a joint project with Tesla Motors Inc. Toyota.
